To improve healthcare service delivery, a health fund has been established that operates on the basis of public-private partnership. Corporate sector and individual donors are encouraged to contribute to the Fund to help sustain healthcare service delivery of a high standard. The Health Fund is one of the instruments by which rural communities supplement healthcare needs and take local initiatives to sustain effective service delivery.
The Fund is used to:
• Provide healthcare professionals to address staff shortages
• Engage resource persons to build capacity of existing staff
• Provide furniture and equipment as needed
• Provide medicines
• Organize medical camps
• Build capacity of all stakeholders
