MGPO Established Pharmacy in Payu

MGPO established a pharmacy at Payu located 11000 ft in the Karakoram Range. This traditional resting place requires all expedition and trekking to stay at this campsite for 2 days of mandatory acclimatization. Most porters do not have access to medicines and suffer from snow blindness, skin diseases, getro-intestinal infections and altitude related sicknesses.

MGPO has built a Pharmacy and hired a services of a paramedic and trained him. MGPO provides free medicine to address the health related problems of tourists and porters to alleviate the immediate symptoms and provide relief.
